Training
Programme Description
The programme promotes building and understanding of consequences,
developing self awareness and mood management, empathy and improving
relationships. The core avenue of the Young Forest Leadership Training
is the ability to 'know ones self'. The techniques and principles are
taught through posture alignment and stance training, breathing exercises
and stretching.
Throughout the programme students will be taught the values of friendship,
respect, control and awarness, while working with other students through
interlocking exercises. These activites stress tolerance and acceptance
of others differences.
The programme will promote 'Chi Gung' (Chi - life force, breath, energy,
Gung to exercise, train) techniques and principles of martial arts.
The virtues used in this training have been adapted using the 'Virtues
Project' Section 2 Virtues: the Gifts of Character.
